Lore Segal (b. 8th March, Vienna 1928) is a renowned American author. She won an American Academy Award (for Her First American), the O. Henry Award and was nominated for a Pulitzer (for Shakespeare’s Kitchen). She was first published in The New Yorker in 1958 and remains a regular contributor in her nineties. 

Lore Segal’s novel Other People's Houses (1964), based on her experience in Britain as a kindertransport refugee, was republished by Sort of Books in 2018.
